The School of Public Administration was founded in 2000. Persist in facing the society, serving the development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Area, and training high-quality social service talents who acquire the skills of the management committee. The school currently has specialties in Senior Professional Services and Management, Community Management and Services, Pre-school Education, Secretarial, Human Resources Management, Legal Affairs, Wedding Services and Management. It has jointly established China's first elderly care undergraduate major with Tianjin University of Technology (Elderly Welfare and Management). The school has formed a professional discipline structure with elderly service and management as the leader, community management and service, preschool education, and human resource management as the main body. There are currently more than 1,600 students in school.
The school has a team of teachers with firm ideals and beliefs and strong professional capabilities. It has 46 full-time teachers, of which 30% are teachers with senior professional titles, 4 are doctors, 90% are postgraduates with a master's degree and above, and 90% are "dual-qualified" teachers; 1 teacher was awarded the Huang Yanpei Vocational Education Award for theoretical research Award: There is one national quality course and one national teaching achievement award.
The school pays attention to the cultivation of students' professional skills. Students have won lots of awards in the National Vocational College Skills Competition, Pension Service Skills Competition, Secretarial Stenography Contest, Ministry of Civil Affairs Vocational College Skills Competition, Social Workers Competition, Wedding Host and Wedding Planning Competition, etc. By the end of 2019, there have been more than 40 awards in various skills competitions at all levels.
The school focuses on the integration of industry and education and school-enterprise cooperation, establishes a long-term mechanism for mutually beneficial cooperation, implements dual-main sports people, and explores vibrant and diverse school-running models in key construction majors. With more than 100 companies, it has established cooperation models such as work-study integration, order training, and modern apprenticeship, which have improved students' professional quality and exercised their professional skills. In recent years, the employment rate of college graduates has remained above 98%.
