The School of Electronic Information Engineering has 7 specialties including Cloud Computing Technology and Application, Software Technology, Computer Application Technology, IoT Application Technology, Digital Media Application Technology, Electronic Information Engineering Technology, and Communication Technology, with more than 2,200 students in campus.
The school currently has 81 faculty members, and has a high-quality faculty composed of 9 professors, 24 associate professors, and industry and enterprise technical experts. All professional teachers have dual-teacher qualifications. Over the past 10 years, the faculty team of the school has published more than 100 academic papers in core journals or indexed by EI, SC and other important indexes, compiled more than 30 national planning textbooks for the 11th and 12th five-year plan, and completed more than 40 scientific research and teaching topics above the provincial and ministerial level.
The school actively carries out international teaching exchanges and cooperation. In 2019, the faculty team of the school successfully completed the training of teachers for ICT-related majors at Durban University of Technology in South Africa, the formulation of international teaching standards for undergraduate and junior college students, and laboratory planning.
The school has built a web front-end development training room based on the "1+X" certificate standard, 25 on-campus training rooms such as cloud computing, big data and artificial intelligence comprehensive training rooms, 15 off-campus training bases, and built the college Artificial intelligence computing platform and ICT public training platform.
The school aims to serve the regional economy, especially the pillar industries of Tianjin Binhai New Area, and innovates the mode of running a school that integrates production and education. In the process of building AI technology service professional groups, it will focus on technical standards, curriculum systems, certification systems and other fields, and cooperate with Huawei and ZTE. The industry chain of well-known ICT companies at home and abroad, such as Telecommunications, Sugon, Newland, Tianjin Feiteng, Tianjin Kirin, Tiandi Weiye, Sanan Optoelectronics, Universe Information Creation, Alorica, etc., has been fully integrated, thus comprehensively improving the overall level of the school’s scientific research ability. A large number of outstanding students have achieved excellent results in Tianjin and the national IT skill competitions. Every year, more than 98% of graduates enter high-quality companies with strong scientific and technological strength, good treatment, and professional counterparts.
