The School of Economics and Management was established in 1983 and has now become a secondary school with large scale, strong strength and obvious advantages. The majors involve E-commerce, International Business, Accounting, Engineering Cost, Logistics Management, Chain Operation Management, and Marketing. The school and Tianjin University of Science and Technology jointly cultivate a logistics management undergraduate major (Logistics Engineering Management). There are currently more than 2,300 students in school.

The school now has 78 teachers, of which 69.2% have a master's degree or above and a deputy senior professional title or above, and 81.1% are dual-qualified teachers. The target of the school is the integration of industry and education, and to establishes a professional group to serve the regional economic construction and development. The school and many industry-leading companies jointly established Yum Industry College and Tianjin Modern Service Industry Vocational Education Group.

The school currently has 15 training rooms with an area of 2885 square meters and a total asset value of 15.55 million yuan. It undertakes 5 professional 1+X certificate training and appraisal tasks. The school has obvious advantages in teaching and scientific research. In recent years, the faculty of the school has presided over more than 30 scientific research projects at or above the provincial and ministerial level; 9 horizontal projects and more than 300 published papers, of which core journals account for 45%. Moreover, 2 national resource-sharing courses and 4 national quality courses has been constructed and 9 textbooks of national planning were edited.

Students have repeatedly achieved good results in various professional competitions in the country and industry. In recent years, the employment rate of graduates has remained at 98.6%, and the quality of employment is relatively high.
