On March 17, 4:00 p.m. Beijing time (9:00 a.m. Gabon time), Tianjin Vocational Institute, Tianjin Foreign Studies University, AVIC international complete equipment Co., Ltd. (AVIC International) and Gabon Nkok International Center for Professional and Vocational Development and Education (Gabon Vocational Education Center) jointly held a meeting to promote the construction of Luban workshop in Gabon. The construction progress of Gabon Luban workshop and the subsequent construction schedule were discussed.

Sun Yang, the general representative of AVIC International in Gabon, first introduced the background of the construction of the Luban workshop in Gabon, undertaking the construction of the Gabonese Vocational Education Center and the business development in Gabon; the principal of the Gabon Vocational Education Center Jean Fidele Koumba introduced the development of Gabon’s vocational education, the center’s schooling and enrollment. ; Vice President Cheng Guoyi of Tianjin Foreign Studies University introduced the basic situation of Tianjin Foreign Studies University; President Liu Bin of TJVI gave a detailed explanation on the basic situation of the college, the construction model and path of Luban workshop, the construction content and the next construction arrangement of Luban workshop in Gabon. The participants of the Luban workshop in Gabon discussed the schedule of future workshop construction, teacher training and other content, and clarified the follow-up works.

Gabon’s Luban Workshop is the second Luban workshop built overseas by Tianjin Vocational Institute and Tianjin Foreign Studies University in accordance with the requirements of “Five in Place” for the construction of Luban workshops, and together with Chinese-funded enterprises in Gabon’s Vocational Education Center. It was officially inaugurated in October this year, and the first phase of the construction of the two majors of machinery manufacturing and automation and automobile application and maintenance technology.
