During November 17-19th, 2020, The Sixth China International "Internet +" Undergraduate Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition National Finals held in South China University of Technology. The "Black Material" project teams who are from college of Biological and Environmental Engineering of TJVI, stand out from teams from 117 countries and regions presenting 1.47 million project 4186 schools, gains gold medal again in vocational competition track. "Water Dress" project team won silver in vocational track.

In order to implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping and the decisions and arrangements of CPC Central Committee and State Council，the Ministry of Education united with 11 units and local provincial governments to create the “Chinese Internet + Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition”. After six years’ efforts, the contest has become an important platform for the innovation and entrepreneurship.

Since the vocational competition track established in 2019, TJVI has obtained prizes of two gold, one silver. It fully demonstrates the achievements of the school's innovative talent training and promotes the integration of innovation and entrepreneurship education, ideological and political education and professional education. In the next stage, the school will continue to combine teachers' technology research and development, innovation and creation with students' quality training, innovation and entrepreneurship through a series of reforms and innovations such as course teaching, platform incubation and project practice.
