In response to the national "Belt and Road" initiative, to strengthen the friendly relationship between our school and Singapore Temasek Polytechnic, and to promote the international development of the institute, on the morning of May 11, TJVI and Singapore Temasek Polytechnic launched a unique cloud-based cultural exchange event. To help teachers and students from Temasek Polytechnic understand Chinese culture, broaden their employment horizons, learn Chinese etiquette, and at the same time enhance the international vision of our students and create an international education atmosphere.

The whole event takes the form of online communication. TJVI first demonstrated the campus to the teachers and students of Singapore Temasek Polytechnic. More than 600 teachers and students in Singapore intensively browsed the campus environment of the two campuses, watched the display of traditional Chinese wood art and student innovation and entrepreneurship projects, visited the craftsman spirit experience hall, and watched the demonstration class of Chinese culinary and pastry art.

Besides, 90 teachers and students from 10 schools had a group cloud exchange with more than 450 teachers and students from Temasek Polytechnic in Singapore. Our school students introduce Chinese etiquette including traditional Chinese costumes, food, festivals, and differences in cultural etiquette between China and foreign countries; students from both sides introduce their hometowns to each other, and conduct extensive exchanges on campus life, extracurricular activities, hobbies and other content.

Through this exchange activity, TJVI and Temasek Polytechnic have enhanced mutual understanding, displayed excellent Chinese traditional culture, helped our students exercise their international communication skills, and demonstrated the positive spirit of contemporary Chinese college students. Teachers and students of the two colleges look forward to meeting offline in the future, to exchange and study with each other, and to keep friendship alive.
