Vice Rector Zhadyra Konurbayeva said: D.Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University was founded in 1958, as a state-owned public university and one of the key universities in Kazakhstan. It is in Eskemen, the capital of East Kazakhstan. It is a leading center of science, education and culture in eastern Kazakhstan. The university has 10 colleges with about 6,100 students. Cooperation with Tianjin Vocational College will promote the high-quality development of vocational education in East Kazakhstan.She reconfirmed the strong will from D.Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University to jointly constructed Luban Workshop in Kazakhstan as an important approach to enhance the cooperation and understanding in vocational education section between the two countries.

During the visit, the delegation from East Kazakhstan Technical University visited Lincoln-China Tianjin Technical Training Center, Additive Manufacturing Technology Promotion Center, Mechanical Engineering Training Center and other on-campus training bases, as well as Tianjin Luban Workshop Construction Experience Museum, China (Tianjin) Vocational Skills Public Training Center and Great Wall Motor (Tianjin) Plant. The delegation highly praised the Made in China and China's advanced technology, highly affirmed the overall strength of our school and the level of international construction, and highly valued the important role of "Luban Workshop" in the exchange and cooperation of vocational education between China and foreign countries.

On the morning of February 2nd, President Zheng Qingchun and Vice Rector Zhadyra Konurbayeva jointly signed a memorandum on the cooperative construction of Kazakhstan Luban Workshop, and the two sides reached the wish to jointly establish the first Kazakhstan Luban Workshop in East Kazakhstan University.
